Graetzer Polish Smoked Wheat Ale (casked) – Russell Brewing

From Russell Brewing in Surrey comes the “casked Polish Smoked Wheat Ale”.  This casked beer was tasted at the Summer Cask Festival 2012 at Central City Brewing in Surrey BC.  This beer poured a cloudy golden with a white head.  The beer smelled of both wheat and smoke.  This is a very odd flavored beer!  The beer had the flavor of wheat and smoked salmon almost.  I am not sure how much of this beer I could drink but it was very interesting and was enjoyable.  I am happy breweries are willing to take the risks on odd and interesting flavors.
