Hoperation Tripel Cross Belgian IPA – Phillips Brewing

From Phillips Brewing out of Victoria BC comes the “Hoperation Tripel Cross Belgian IPA”.  This IPA pours a Yellow colour with a white head.  The beer has the aromas of citrus and floral hops but not much else.  The flavor of the beer is of citrus and a hopy bitterness with some yeast characteristics present.  The beer has an alcohol content of 8.0% and a fairly hight IBU as it is quite bitter.

This beer was part of Mikes Craft Beer’s first ever tasting but fell near the end and had less imput.  I rated this beer a 8/10 and Tom rated it a 6.5/10 but let me stress everyone liked it.

  1. Ah yes, I tried another Belgian IPA crossover recently and was trying to list who had been making them lately. That makes two for Phillips and one for VIB.

  2. I will have to take a look for the other ones as this one was quite good
