O’hare’s Beer Club October Box
From Copenhagen Denmark’s Evil Twin Brewing comes their “Soft DK” Imperial Stout. Evil Twin Brewing does not have a brewery of their own but seems to licence their brews out to other breweries around Denmark. This beer pours a deep black colour with a brown almost chocolate coloured head. The beer has the aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate, caramel and coffee with possibly a hint of alcohol. The flavour of the beer was of roasted malts, sweet vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and some bitterness. The beer has an alcohol content of 10% and an IBU between 35 – 40.
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.
I do not know where this description comes from but this is a very nice imperial stout coming out of Denmark.
Food Pairing according to O’hare’s Beer Club notes are as follows: Chocolate, rich beef stew, oysters, stout ice cream float.
