From Richmond BC’s Big River Brewing Company located inside the Zone Bowling Centre comes their “Nut Brown Ale”. This nut brown poured a deep dark brown colour with a brown head. The aroma consisted of roasted malts, nuts and some mild coffee. The flavour was of roasted malts, coffee, nuts and some slight hops bitterness. This is a well balanced, medium bodied ale that is quite tasty. The alcohol content of this beer is 5%.
Nice to hear a positive review! Perhaps the bottles are improving?
This is still the only bottle of their beer in bottles I have liked. The beer on site is great though it is really sad. This good bottle must have snuck out. How about a guess on the bad bottle quality. Could it have to do with filling the bottles without a CO2 purge thus allowing oxygen in the bottles?
