O’hare’s Beer Club April 2013 Box
From Russell Brewing out of Surrey BC comes their “Blood Alley Bitter” an extra special bitter originally a limited release in bombers but now available in 6 pack bottles. The aroma of the beer consists of malts, citrus and floral hops. The flavour is of malts, citrus, sweetness and some good hops bitterness. The alcohol content is 5.5% and the IBU is 50. This is a great ESB that would be a great summer session beer.
Commercial Description: Blood Alley Bitter is an Extra Special Bitter named after a notorious cobblestone laneway in Vancouver’s Gastown district. At 50 IBU’s this beer is slightly higher in bitterness than the average ESB but it is well-balanced by the rich, roasted malt flavours.
