Moon Under Water Brewing – The Victorious Weizenbock

From Victoria BC’s Moon Under Water Brewing comes the Victorious Weizenbock.

The nose is very light, a fairly uncomplicated yeasty aroma with some esters I cannot identify. Bubblegum, maybe? There is a light herbal or cut grass scent underlying it.

The flavours are wonderfully layered, with elements of bock and wheat beers. There are light bubblegum notes with great smoke flavours and some hoppy pine. The taste moves quickly to sweet chocolate. The finish is a nice spicy orange with a touch of bitter smoke.

I like this very much and would pair it with spicy food

  1. You tried it, yaaaay! It is good isn’t it? A top contender for my favorite of the bunch, but their Wheat Wine is a tough one to beat!
