From the brand new brewery located in New Westminster Steel & Oak Brewing Co. comes their “Smoked Hefe” a smoked hefeweizen. The beer pours a cloudy golden colour with an off white head. The aroma is has an overall fruity flavour with banana but also Yeast and wheat. The flavour consists of banana, fruity sweetness, yeast, wheat, mild bitterness and some very mold smoke. The alcohol content of this beer comes in at 5% with 15 IBU. As a rule I don’t like smoked ales but hey I love to break rules. This is a fantastic beer and I would have a sleeve, pint or growler any time.

Not a big fan of banana but I would buy this beer just for the bottle alone. And then drink it of course, beer is beer and beer shouldn’t be wasted. Looks awesome!
This one was not a banana bomb like some but very refreshing. The growler shown is a Founders Club Growler and not for sale sadly.
