I have been talking about Moody Ales a lot recently but Port Moody has a brewery that has opened up already only blocks away!  Right across the road from Rocky Point Park you will find the new Yellow Dog Brewing Company.  This is also a fairly small brewery in the smaller side of a micro brewery with lots of room to grow.  They have both a tasting room and an outside patio area.  Both are liquor licensed and great places to have a brew or two.  The brewery is in plain sight of the tasting room and the patio and you have to walk right by it to go from the tasting room to the patio.  The brewery launched with Chase My Tail Pale Ale, Take a Walk Wit, Play Dead IPA and Shake a Pay Smoked Porter.  I was in a hurry and was only able to try the IPA and the porter was sold out but I am quite impressed with this new operation.  The Play Dead IPA was a great tasting beer and a nice addition to the local scene (review to come).

If you have not made your way to the brewery I would recommend that you do it ASAP.  If you cant make it their the beer is showing up in Metro Vancouver at our favorite bars.  Hunt it down and try it out you will not regret it!
