Wandering Camel IPA – Barkerville Brewing Company

Barkerville Brewing Company has been hard to come by in Vancouver but things are starting to change slowly.  Finally this great little brewery in Quesnel has started to send their beer to town just like their “Wandering Camel IPA”.  The beer pours an orange colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of an overall earthiness, mild citrus and tropical fruits and malts.  The flavour is of earthy hops with some bitterness, caramel, sweetness, tropical fruits and citrus.  The alcohol content comes in at 6.5% with an IBU of 48.  I can see myself buying many more bottles of this beer to enjoy!

Commercial Description:  Strange creatures in an untamed land, the 23 camels tasked to carry supplies to Barkerville faced unfamiliar terrain and unwelcoming hosts. Impressively hearty, they terrified horses and ate everything from hats to bars of soap. The camels were soon let loose to fend for themselves.
