From Edmonton, Alberta’s Alley Kat Brewing Company comes their “Olde Deuteronomy Barley Wine 2015”. This is a beer that is not often brewed but was brought back for the breweries 20th Anniversary. The beer pours a deep ruby colour with an tan head. The aroma consists of dark fruits, cherry, caramel, malts, brown sugar and an earthy finish. The flavour is of dark fruits, cherries, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, earthiness, mild alcohol warmth and a hops bitterness to finish it all off. The alcohol content comes in at 10.3% with an IBU of 75. This is a very tasty Barley Wine and I wish that the brewery would both produce it more and possibly start shipping their beer to BC!
