On May 13th, 2015 Red Truck Beer had a very quiet soft opening to their Red Truck Stop. The Red Truck Stop is a truck stop style diner attached to the large production brewery just off of 1st and Main in Vancouver.
When you first walk inside the large white doors with wrench handles you will find yourself in a growler bar and bottle shop with some Red Truck swag for sale as well.
Before your get yourself a some food and drink and sit down just take a look straight up and you will get a great view through a sunroof to the water tower far above!
Once you have taken a gander head over to the diner. You order everything at the bar and then find a spot to enjoy it. There is a Beer menu on one wall and a food one on the other right by the tills. For the soft launch they launched with 7 beer including their Blonde, ISA, Ale, IPA, Belgian Tripel, Lager and the VCBW collaboration Campfire Kolsh. You can do racks of 4 taster glasses that they call Craftmaster. The food menu is pretty darn varied also with burgers, fancy hotdogs, sandwiches, wing and salads to name what I can remember.
There is a really nice touch to the diner with windows behind the bar that show off the brewery itself. Yes that includes at least one classic red truck hanging from the rafters! I hope to be able to get a tour of the brewery soon to show off the rest of this great looking space. Check social media for the actual opening day as it should be very soon!
