From New Westminster’s Steel & Oak Brewing comes their “Brune Aigre” a Belgian style Brune. The beer pours a red brown colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of caramel, sweetness and earth. The flavour is of mild tartness, caramel, toffee, sweetness and maybe a hint of nuts. The alcohol content comes in at 6.8% with and IBU of 23. Not the best release from Steel & Oak Brewing but still an enjoyable beer. It is impressive that the brewmaster is playing with sour beers though as he is trained in the traditional German style of brewing.
