From The Noble Pig Brewhouse in Kamloops comes their “Imperialist Pig IPA” and English IPA. The beer pours a orange colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of fruity melon, sweetness and caramel. The flavour is of caramel, earth, melon, citrus, sweetness and a mild bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 6% with an IBU of 63. Even with an IBU at 63 this beer is quite low on the bitterness and more reminiscent of an English IPA. I tend to enjoy hop bombs for IPA’s but I can appreciate what this beer brings to the table.
Commercial Description: Reminiscent of the beers shipped to India from England in the 1800’s. Heavily hopped with four separate additions of hops. Columbus, Willamette, cascades & styrian goldings.
