From East Vancouver’s Parallel 49 Brewing comes their latest creation “187 On An Undercover Hop” an Imperial IPA. The beer pours an orange colour with a white head. The aroma consists of tropical fruits, melon, floral hops, sweetness and a fairly juicy finish. The flavour is of tropical fruits, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, melon, citrus, resin, pine, earth and bitterness. The beer has quite a chewy body. The alcohol content comes in at 10% with a theoretical IBU of 187. I was expecting much more bitterness with this beer but it was very tasty! This is a Double IPA that I could come back to time and again.
Commercial Description: Heavy on the lupulin, this Imperial IPA has a fruity citrus hop flavour & aroma, backed up by a slight sweet caramel flavour with an alcohol bite.
