From Chilliwack’s Old Yale Brewing comes their “Devilfish IPA” a Single Malt & Single Hop beer also known as a Smash Beer.  The beer pours a deep golden colour with an off white head.  The aroma consist of tropical fruits, sweetness, some malts and a mild floral hops.  The flavour is of Big tropical fruits, earth, caramel, sweetness, mild resin and some mild bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 5.5% with an IBU of 40.  I am not always a big fan of these single hop or malt beers but this one works really well balanced and full of flavour.  I would recommend this beer to anyone that likes a flavourful beer!

Commercial Description:  This daringly simple IPA was crafted using only the essentials: special amber malt and Ella hops. The Devilfish’s tropical notes and smooth finish are best savoured with a spicy seafood dish.
