From Brassneck Brewery in Vancouver comes their “Spirit Animal Barrel Aged Barleywine”. The beer pours a deep copper colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of dark fruits, caramel, toffee and some sweetness. The flavour is of dark fruits, mild bitterness, caramel, toffee, vanilla, wood, earth, sweetness and the some mild booze. The alcohol content comes in at 10.5%. If you enjoy English Barleywines you should really enjoy this beer as it is extremely tasty.

Commercial Description:  (This one’s a little on the nerdy side, sorry).  Our strong, malty, Barley Wine is a barrel conditioned blend using 2 wild yeast strains during secondary fermentation:  25 % Brettanomyces Lambicus. (Brett “L”) 75% Brettanomyces Claussenii. (Brett “C”) It’s 10% a.b.v…..  And 100% Delicious.
