‘Pier’ IPA – White Rock Beach Beer Company

From White Rock Beach Beer Company in White Rock comes their “’Pier’ IPA”.  The beer pours an orange coulor with an off white head.  The aroma consists of slightly sweet fruity front with a very mild floral hops finish although it is understated.  The flavour is of lemon citrus, tropical melon, some decent earthy notes and a low bitterness.  This is an English IPA to the max and drinks more like a mild pale ale than an India Pale Ale.  The alcohol content comes in at 6% with an IBU of 80 (Not all IBU goes to bitterness).  As long as you go into this beer knowing it is not a hop heads dream you should really enjoy this beer for the flavours it delivers.

Commercial Description:  A trio of hops – Magnum, Centennial, and Cascade – give this craft-brewery facourite the ‘bite’ devoted hopheads are looking for, while finishing smooth and crisp.
