From Steamworks Brewing in Burnaby BC comes their latest release the “Farmhouse Wheat Ale”.  The beer pours a cloudy straw colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of yeast, wheat, grain and lemon.  The flavour is of wheat, grain, yeast, pepper, spices, citrus and citrus rind.  This beer is almost more of a saison than a wheat ale.  The alcohol content comes in at 5% with an IBU of 15.  If you are looking for a good wheat ale for the summer months than you would not be going wrong with this beer.

Commercial Description:  Brewed with German Pilsner and wheat malts and fermented with French Saison yeast, this beer pours hazy and is as refreshing as it is complex.  The fruity and spicy flavour and aroma that is characteristic of this yeast strain is complemented by layered additions of Ella hops throughout the brewing process.
