From Penticton BC’s Tin Whistle Brewing comes the “Rattlesnake ESB Ale”. The beer pours a golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of citrusy, fruity notes with caramel and floral hops. The flavour is of caramel, toffee, citrus, earth, mild to medium bitterness and mild resin. The alcohol content comes in at 6.5%. I enjoyed this ESB and I am glad I gave it anouther go as it had been quite some time.
How would it compare to traditional British ESBs? I have found very few craft breweries here who brew a proper well balanced ESB. My experience so far has been very hoppy ESBs, which to me are not ESBs…you might as well call them IPAs instead…
This one not super bitter but also probably not considered traditional either. But this is not an IPESB for sure
