From Bomber Brewing in East Vancouver comes their “Brett & Barley Cab-Sav Barrel Aged Strong Ale”.  The beer pours a deep reddish brown colour with a brown head.  The aroma consists of big brettanomyces funky notes, dark fruits, Cabernet Sauvignon and oak.  The flavour is of tartness, brettanomyces funk, dark fruits, Cabernet Sauvignon, toffee, chocolate, licorice, oak, tannins and bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 11%.  This beer started out as a bit of an accident and turned into an amazing wild barleywine and it is well worth stopping by the brewery asap to try it out yourself.
