From Luppolo Brewing in East Vancouver comes their “Wild Saison with Pear”.  The beer pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of pear, citrus, citrus rind, yeast, wheat and some sweetness.  The flavour is of citrus, citrus rind, pear, wheat, yeast, spices with a mild funk in the finish.  The alcohol content comes in at 5.5%.  This may not be a hugely complex beer like some wild ales but it was a very well executed while approachable saison.
