From Britannia Brewing Company in the Richmond with a tasting room in Steveston Village comes their “Ashore Rye Porter”.  The beer pours a deep brown colour with a light brown head.  The aroma consists of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate and rye.  The flavour is of roasted malts, chocolate, mild coffee, nuts, earth, mild ash, caramel, rye and some mild bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 5.1% with an IBU of 32.  I really enjoyed this Porter and I look forward to picking it up again.
