From Borderlands Brewing Company in Tucson Arizona comes their “Citrana Southwestern Style Gose”. The beer pours a straw yellow with a white head. The aroma consists of lemon, lime, salt, coriander and cardamom. The flavour is of lemon, salt, very mild tarness with some malts, coriander and cardamom. The alcohol content comes in at 6.3%. This is a nice mild gose that is extremely drinkable and well worth trying if you can find it.

Collective Project Gose – Collective Arts Brewing
From Collective Arts Brewing in Hamilton Ontario comes their “Collective Project Gose”. The beer pours a light orange colour with an off white head. The aroma is of orange, lemon and other citrus fruits, coriander and salt. The flavour is of salt, lemon, orange, coriander with mild wheat malts and a mild tartness. The alcohol content comes in at 5.2% with an IBU of 27. I am happy that the Gose style has come back as it is a great summer beer with lots of flavour.
Commercial Description: Our Gose is an unfiltered wheat beer made with malted wheat. This creates a unique cloudy yellow colour and provides a refreshing crispness and twang. Our Gose has a low hop bitterness and features coriander and Himalayan sea salt, adding hints of complementary dryness, spice and a touch of sharpness to the beer.
¡Órale! Tequila Gose – Parallel 49 Brewing
From East Vancouver’s Parallel 49 Brewing comes their latest beer in their “¡Órale! Tequila Gose” their 4th Anniversary beer aged in Tequila barrels for 9 months. The beer pours a yellow colour with a white head. The aroma consists of big tequila notes up front with wood, citrus and a tartness. The flavour is of tequila, citrus, lime, wood, tartness, salt and a sweet finish. The alcohol content comes in at 4.5% with an IBU of 6. This one lived up to the line of Anniversary beers that Parallel 49 Brewing has released as it was very interesting and full of flavour. Cheers to an amazing 4 years Parallel 49!
Commercial Description: Building upon the traditional Gose beer from Germany, a sour and salty low-alcohol ale, this beer was then aged in Tequila barrels for 9 months. This gives a flavour profile similar to a tequila shot with agave flavour from the barrels, salt like the rim of a glass and sour like the lime that frequently accompanies tequila.

From Four Winds Brewing Company in Delta BC comes their new limited “Gose w/ Salt and Coriander”. The beer pours a golden colour with a white head. The beer has the aroma of wheat, coriander, fruit juice and a floral finish. The flavour is of wheat, coriander, salt, apple juice and some very mild hops bitterness. The salt seems to build as you drink a glass of the beer. The alcohol content comes in at 5% with an IBU of 10. This beer was refreshing as hell and only available at the tasting room.
Gose Sour Salty Wheat Ale – Parallel 49 Brewing

From Parallel 49 brewing out of East Vancouver comes the “Gose Sour Salty Wheat Ale” a very limited beer only available at the brewery. This beer came about as they had lactic acid bacteria from the Lil Red Sour Cherry Berliner Weisse and the Yeast from the Banana Hammock Hefeweizen which will probably never happen again. The beer pours a cloudy golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of fruity, tartness from Lactic Acid, salt, coriander and wheat. The flavour is of Tartness from lactic acid, salt, coriander, wheat and a small bite of hops bitterness. The alcohol content is approximately 4.5%. This beer has been bottle conditioned to bring on the proper flavours that the style requires. If you are lucky there may still be a bottle of two left at the brewery to sample!
