Stone Crazy – Imperial India Pale Ale (Brews Brothers) – Parallel 49 Brewing (Powell Street Craft Brewery)

Brews Brothers

From Parallel 49 Brewing’s Brews Brothers Collaboration mixer pack comes the “Stone Crazy” an Imperial India Pale Ale.  Powell Street Craft Brewery have come together to make this beer.  The beer pours an orangy copper colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of orange, pineapple, sweetness, malts and floral hops.  The flavour is of big tropical notes, orange, earthy, caramel, sweetness, pine, resin and hops bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 9% alcohol.  This is a great tropical based Imperial India Pale Ale and I am glad that their is a similar version released by Powell Street Craft Brewery right now!

Backdoor Man – Basil India Pale Ale (Brews Brothers) – Parallel 49 Brewing (Storm Brewing)

Brews Brothers

From Parallel 49 Brewing’s Brews Brothers Collaboration mixer pack comes the “Backdoor Man” Basil India Pale Ale.  This beer has been produced in Collaboration with Storm Brewing who are basically neighbors with Parallel 49 Brewing.  The beer pours a copper colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of basil, lemon, floral hops and maybe some ginger.  The flavour is of a ton of basil, lemon, sweetness, mild bitterness and still coming up with some ginger.  The alcohol content comes in at 6.5%.  I quite enjoyed this beer but it was no surprise as I have had Basil IPA’s from Storm Brewing before and been a fan.
