Seasonal Release
From Montreal Quebec’s Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel comes their “Chaman” an Imperial Pale Ale. The beer pours a copper colour with a white head. The aroma consists of malts, caramel, fruits and a grassy floral hops. The flavour is of malts, caramel, citrus, dark fruits, pine and some bitterness. The alcohol content of this beer is 9%. This is a very different flavoured Pale Ale compared to your average. Being from Quebec the fruitiness was not a surprise for me but a nice addition. I would like to thank Bradly for bringing this beer to BC when he was here on Holiday from Ontario. Glad I could show you around the breweries here.
Commercial Description: Chaman is a dry-hopped strong beer with strong amber hues and dominating hop flavours and tastes. It is however well balanced through the presence of a combination of malts, and alcohol is present is not overwhelming. Thus, it is a very complex and bitter beer, but always well balanced.
Chaman is brewed only once a year, and is sold in May until stocks last.
