‘Pablo Esco Gnar’ IPA – Boombox Brewing (Machine Ales)

From Boombox Brewing located at Callister Brewing in East Vancouver comes their “‘Pablo Esco Gnar’ IPA” made in collaboration with Machine Ales.  The beer pours a very cloudy yellow orange colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of very ju9icy tropical fruits, citrus rind, resin and floral hops.  The flavour is of juicy tropical fruits, citrus, citrus rind, resin, dank hops, sweetness from lactose, bitterness and tons of body coming from the oats.  The alcohol content comes in at 7.2%.  This is a great North East Style IPA and I am glad that these two breweries have come together to make a new and exciting IPA!  Head to the brewery as soon as possible to try it for yourself.

Side Cut East Coast India Pale Ale – Bridge Brewing Company

From Bridge Brewing Company in North Vancouver comes their newest “Side Cut East Coast India Pale Ale”.  West Coast meet East Coast. We do IPA’s differently and Bridge Brewing is doing a great job emulating the style. The beer pours a very cloudy deep orange with an off white head.  The aroma consists of citrus rind, lemon, dank hops with a floral finish.  The flavour is of citrus rind, lemon, grapefruit, tropical fruits, resin, mild bitterness and a mild earth finish.  The alcohol content comes in at 7.3% with an IBU of 59.  I really like the style of East Coast India Pale Ales with they very cloudy appearance and they fuller body.  This one does a great job of mimicking those characteristics while still having some west coast edge.

Commercial Description:  This juicy IPA brings a brilliant bitterness with a cloudy appearance. Big notes of peach, tangerine and tropical fruit, followed with a fluffy and full mouthfeel. Our outstanding North East IPA is big on flavor and aroma, with no clarifying agents or filtering for this beer. It is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest!
