From Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks in Richmond comes their “Gin & Lime Pilsner” a tasting room favorite that is now in cans. This Pilsner is infused with Unruly Gin from Wayward Distillation House in Courtenay BC. The beer pours a mildly hazy straw colour with a white head. The aroma consists of tons of lime, some grain and a mild gin finish. The flavour is of lime, grain, mild juniper berries from the gin and basically no bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5.3% with an IBU of 25. Not being a Pilsner or lager fan in general let me say this beer is very smooth and refreshing and I could crush a ton of them.
From Dead Frog Brewery in Aldergrove comes their “C.R.E.A.M. Key Lime Milkshake IPA” named after the hops used including Columbus, Rakau, Ekuanot, Azacca and Meridian. The beer pours an orange copper colour with a white head. The aroma consists of lime, tropical fruit, lactose sweetness and floral hops. The flavour is of lime, tropical fruits, lactose, mild resin and pine and a low bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 6.5% with an IBU of 45. This Milkshake IPA has one hand in the West Coast IPA and one in the East Coast and it was quite enjoyable.
Commercial Description: A HAZY GOLDEN IPA WITH FLAVOURS OF TROPICAL CITRUS HOPS, FRESH PEELED LIME ZEST, AND A CREAMY HINT OF SWEETNESS.

From Vancouver Island Brewing in Victoria comes their “Juniper Lime Ale”. The beer pours a cloudy dark orange with a white head. The aroma consists of juniper, lime with honey notes. The flavour is of juniper, herbal, honey, lime, caramel malts, mild tartness with some very minor bitterness in the finish. The alcohol content comes in at 7% with an IBU of 13. This beer was fashioned after the gin cocktail Gimlet. I don’t know the cocktail but I did really like this beer.
Commercial Description: Cheerful nights on warm patios. This Juniper Lime Ale has been brewed to imitate the refreshing zest of a Gimlet cocktail, an iconic gin-based summer sipper.
From Victoria’s Category 12 Brewing comes their “Hiatus Summer Farmhouse Ale” a beer with Cucumber and Lemon. The beer pours a cloudy golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of cucumber, lime, coriander and some grassy hops. The flavour is of cucumber water, lime, lemon zest, earth, mild funk and a hint of bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5% with an IBU of 16. If you enjoy a good cucumber water on a hot day this beer should definitely be up your alley.

From Beau’s All Natural Brewing in Vankleek Hill Ontario comes their “Buenos Dias Gruit Ale”. The beer pours a golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of citrus, orange, lime and an wheat and floral finish. The flavour is of herbal hops, citrus, orange, lime, citrus rind, wheat, bready and some spices. The alcohol content comes in at 4.5% with an IBU of 10. I have had mixed feelings about gruits over the years but this one was quite interesting.
Commercial Description: Buenos Dias is a gruit ale brewed with organic lime juice, organic orange and lime peel, and sea salt. The zippy lime flavour is accented with a lick of salt. Kick back and enjoy the zest of a classic Margarita in each refreshing sip!
