Commercial Description: Our Ironworkers Series celebrates the spirit of teamwork, craftsmanship, and hard work. Grat craft beer, like bridges, have the ability to bring people together and join communities. When our brewing team at Bridge Brewing created this Ironworkers Series they crafted a beer that does just that. Tart and refreshing, this beer was inspired by the Brewmaster’s Mother with fresh aromas of spring garden. Elderflowers give a gentle floral brightness to this crisp kettle-soured ale. Lightly hopped with Galaxy and Centennial hops ot provide a background of nectarine and citrus.
From Four Winds Brewing in Delta BC comes their “Nectarous Dry Hopped Sour”. This beer falls withing the Eurus Series beers that come in 750ml bottles with a cork and cage. The beer pours a cloudy orange colour with white head. The aroma consists of peaches, nectarines, citrus, passion fruit and an overall sweetness. The flavour is of a medium lactobacillus tartness, peaches, nectarines, citrus, passion fruit, lime, sweetness, a touch of brettanomyces funk and a very mild hops bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5.5% with an IBU of 61. I thought that their Saison Brett was epic but I think this may have surpassed even that! Cascade Brewing in Portland better watch out!
Commercial Description: “In the pursuit of sour, peach and nectarine play lead, while galaxy hops lend notes of citrus and passionfruit.” NECTAROUS is a dry-hopped, kettle soured beer that is intended to drink fresh! Keep refrigerated!
From the brand new Four Winds Brewing Company in Delta BC comes their very limited “Nectarine IPA” a very small batch beer. 20L of Four Winds IPA was removed from the tanks and 12 Nectarines were added. Due to the obvious small nature of this IPA you can only sample it at the brewery. The beer pours an orange/copper with a white head. The aroma consists of pine, floral hops, malts and a large Nectarine presence. The flavour was of Nectarines, pine, citrus, malts and a great hops bitterness to finish it. Even with a large Nectarine presence this beer is not overly sweet at all. The alcohol content cones in around 7% and the IBU is 70. The Four Winds Brewing Company IPA is already a great beer but the addition of the Nectarines make this an outstanding beer and I hope a version of this shows up in bombers or something similar!
