From Britannia Brewing Company in the Richmond with a tasting room in Steveston Village comes their “Wave Crusader XPA” an Extra Pale Ale. The beer pours an amber colour with a white head. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, melon, caramel, toffee and floral hops. The flavour is of bready malts, caramel, toffee, spice, citrus, citrus rind, resin and bitterness. The alcohol contnet comes in at 5.7% with an IBU of 45. This is an enjoyable Pale Ale and a good addition to the Richmond scene.

From Kettle River Brewing in Kelowna comes their “XPA” an Extra Pale Ale. This beer was bottled on November 10, 2016 from lot 119. The beer pours a cloudy copper colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of citrus, tropical fruits, citrus basically tons of fruit with some malts in the background. The flavour is of melon, tropical fruit, citrus, caramel, malts, resin and some bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 6.7%. I quite enjoyed this beer and that probably comes with the fact that I really enjoy fruit forward hops! Thanks to Chelsea of BrewtifulBC for this beer.
